On December 6 the USAID Trade Hub sponsored a meeting of the Botswana Agricultural Union (BAU) entitled “SADC Trade Liberalization: Challenges and Opportunities for Botswana Agribusiness” jointly organized by the BAU and the Botswana Cattle Producers Association (BCPA).

In December 2006 the USAID Trade Hub published the seventh issue of Inside Southern Africa Trade (INSAT), a special issue devoted to competitiveness issues in the region.
