Programme Managers
SARPN encourages applications for Programme Managers from persons with regional experience to coordinate its regional initiatives in the following Programme Areas:
- Land, HIV / AIDS, Gender and Food Security;
- Economic Policy, Regional Integration and Trade;
- Macro Approaches to Poverty Reduction;
- Social Safety Nets, Relief, Rehabilitation & Development.
Applicants must have a minimum of three years experience in the relevant subject matter in a civil society environment. The successful candidates will be selected from applicants with Post Graduate qualifications in the following disciplines:
- Development Economics
- Social Science Anthropology
- Political Science
These subject matter experts would be responsible for the successful design and implementation of programmes involving networking activities, regional debate and the successful implementation and measurement of events pertaining to four key Programme Areas. Applicants must be analytical, pro - active, action oriented, self-starting development workers with a proven track record of participating in the regional poverty debate. Excellent verbal and written skills are required with solid computer literacy levels. Applicants must be able to work within a team environment and must demonstrate a good appreciation of key actors in the SADC region.

Business Support Manager
This dynamic, pro-active, action and detail-oriented leader is required to manage a small unit, which provides a wide range of operational support services to the SARPN team.
Primarily the Manager will provide business, operational and financial support to SARPN thereby enabling SARPN to develop as a regional network. Key Performance Areas include: Financial Management; Contract Management; Office Management; Logistical Co-ordination; Management of processes and mechanisms; Donor Relationship and Proposals and Staff Management.
The candidate should hold a B.com / B.admin or similar qualification and have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a similar environment. Preferably the candidate should have Project Management experience and financial experience with Pastel.

Finance Officer
This candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a proven track record of problem solving abilities. Sound computer literacy in MS office and spreadsheets is required as well as Pastel experience. The finance officer will be required to provide effective day to day operational support with regards to Finance and Administration to the SARPN in order to ensure that the team members are enabled to successfully implement SARPN strategic plans this includes: Administration of Contracts; Budget administration and reporting; Budget preparation; Basic Bookkeeping (Pastel ); Monitoring of budgets, expenditure and variance reporting; Payments to contractors/ suppliers as per contracts and Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
The candidate should hold a Matric plus appropriate financial management diploma / degree plus 3 years experience in a similar environment
